Expanding U

This design elegantly captures the essence of the expanding universe, offering a glimpse into an unknown galaxy filled with vibrant colors and intricate details. What sets this piece apart is the designer's daring decision to forgo a predetermined layout for the galaxies and stars. She embraces a free-form approach that celebrates creative spontaneity rather than adhering to a strict blueprint that would require erasing and repainting elements. This choice enhances the overall design and intentionally empowers her to place each celestial element in dynamic patterns.

Shang Shui

The Shang Shui integrates four design elements like tobacco, irrigated water channels, sustainable sources, and the light of hope. They symbolize the memories of Old Taichung-Jiushe, blending the hundred-year development history and land memories of Taichung into the art. Utilizing Augmented Reality, it creates an immersive vision, allowing passengers passing through the Jiushe to witness the history of Taichung's development, thus bringing the environment closer to people. The shimmering water ripples on the ground are given a life-like quality, infusing the site with abundant energy.

Luminous Island

Luminous Island is a light art exhibition held in Penghu, Taiwan. The theme is the ocean world of Penghu in autumn and winter. Thirteen light art installations are inspired by marine creatures. The lanterns combine fabric with small LED lights, instead of the usual iron and fabric structure. Fiber optics are used to shape a marine kingdom, and mechanical parts allow some lanterns to open and close. Corridors at the entrance and the exit form the feeling of entering and leaving an underwater world. Rust-proof and corrosion-resistant materials protect the lanterns near the sea.

ReCollection

ReCollection is an interactive art installation that forms images of personal memories from spoken language. Participants whisper a fragmented memory into a microphone. An artificial intelligence system converts the speech into text, completes the sentence as a short narrative, and generates images from the narrative. The images are then processed algorithmically into an evolving real-time visualization. The installation explores the relation between language, memory and imagination, and is also intended as a prototype for future work with people affected by dementia.
