Pinnannousu

A slowly melting sculpture performance, where an industrial robot carves a large ice block to a computational lens that refracts the spotlight to graphics on the wall, spelling plus two degree celsius, an ominous warning of global temperature rise. The artwork juxtaposes the high tech optimism with transient global challenges that know no bounds. The intervention only speeds up the process.

Project Nebula

Nebula Project is a device that incorporates a miniaturized Modified Atmosphere Packaging MAP technology system for food preservation. It represents Saes's first Industrial Design project, aimed at implementing design driven innovation methodologies within the company and exploring their applicability in laboratory workflows. It is estimated that approximately 930 million tons of food were wasted in 2019, with around 60% of it being discarded by consumers at home. Nebula aims to address these challenges by leveraging cutting edge technology to empower individuals to reduce food waste.

The Chakai

Tango Chirimen, soaked with images projected by projection mapping, was used as a psychological boundary. The extremely thin cloth fluctuates with the slightest movement of air, such as the movement of a person, and responds to the movement of the cloth interactively by means of sensors embedded in the cloth. The material used for the floor is a decorative plywood made by pasting rush grass, which would normally have been discarded, onto plywood because it was not long enough to fit into the tatami weaving machine.

Through the Looking Prism

Prism glass wall reflect and refract existing urban panorama of the Chao Phraya River, one of the representative Bangkok's scenery. The structure made with 300 pieces of glass prisms supported by sand blast finish stainless steel offers alternative perspective with its prism light. There is no additional lighting in the structure not only minimizes energy consumption while serves as a critique of light pollution in current urban setting. The installation is a testament to the boundless possibilities of light art installation has been displayed in Asia-wide with its easy assembly system.

Kwsa

Kwsa is a kinetic wall installation located at the Aramco Innovation Center in Riyadh. The work covers 209 square meters and is formed by six modular walls, each 6000 mm wide and 7000 mm high. Motion is produced by 20,000 stepper motors that drive a custom lead screw and lever system with a precision of 0.1 mm. Components made of self-lubricating technopolymers need no lubrication and allow front access for maintenance. Choreographed sequences are created from grayscale video, where brightness values define the degree of movement.

Hsinchu Scroll

Hsinchu Scroll is an interactive installation created for an exhibition in Hsinchu City, Taiwan. The design adapts the traditional Chinese handscroll into a spatial journey through two galleries, each measuring about 30 by 15 meters with a ceiling height of 5 meters. Infrared depth sensors track visitor movement and trigger real-time calligraphy and flowing water effects. Lightweight modular screen structures and high-gain projection fabric support large-scale digital projections. In a final zone, visitors leave digital calligraphic marks and join the evolving exhibition.
